Welcome To LifeConnexion Ministries

Beginning LifeConnexion Ministries in 2016 has been a rich blessing for the Prices. For the most part, they have been doing what God has called them to do for the past 54 years of their life and ministry together. The difference is that this ministry is intentionally focused on one singular mission, which is to “Connect people to Jesus, the Giver of Life.”

When the ministry first launched in 2016, Jim began a weekly blog called “Life-Marks,” with the intention of focusing on those identifying “marks” that ought to be present in the lives of those who have received from Jesus the Gift of LIFE. Jim has also published two booklets focusing on both evangelism and discipleship: “The Gift that Changes Everything;” and “The Day Everything Changed.”  These booklets have now been combined into one volume, one of them being a study guide for small group Bible studies. And, he has just completed another book entitled: “66 – A Daily Devotional Journey through all Sixty-Six Books of the Bible.” This book will be available on Amazon soon.

About The Price’s

Jim and Peggy have served together in Christian ministry for over 50 years now. After their wedding in 1969, Jim served as an artillery officer in Viet Nam, and upon his return, they moved from California to Colorado where Jim used funds from the GI Bill to further his education. In 1974 he received His Master of Divinity Degree from Denver Seminary, and in 1977, he completed his Master’s Degree in Geology from Colorado State University. People often ask how the two fit together, to which he replies, “It’s easy, in one you study the ages of rocks, and in the other, the Rock of Ages!”

During their years in Colorado, Jim worked in Denver as an engineering geologist with the Colorado Geological Survey, and as an exploration geologist with Amoco Production Company. During this time, they served in a local church youth ministry, then for almost 12 years, they served as pastor and wife in a small rural church on the eastern plains of Colorado, driving over 100 miles each Sunday morning to be with this congregation. Peggy also served in leadership roles with the Christian Women’s Club and Child Evangelism Fellowship.

In 1987, Jim left his career in geology and he, his wife Peggy, and their three daughters moved to Rohnert Park in northern California to plant a new church, Calvary Community Church, where they served for almost 20 years. During those years, Jim received his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Western Seminary, and Peggy began coordinating programs for foreign high school and middle school students (mostly from Japan and China) coming to the US in order to learn better English, understand American culture, and to experience what it is like to live with an American family. It has always been Peggy’s desire to place these students in Christian homes where they will be loved and cared for.

In 2007, Jim and Peggy moved to the Sacramento area where Jim served as a staff pastor at a church in Folsom, and several years later, they began to sense God’s call to China. From 2011-2013, they taught PhD students English proficiency in both writing and oral communication at Peking University in Beijing. Both Jim and Peggy feel that their time teaching in China was one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences of their lives.

Throughout their years in ministry, their greatest passion has been to introduce people to Jesus, the One who dispenses spiritual LIFE, a life that is extraordinary and abundant. And, for those who have come to know the One who has given them LIFE, they passionately desire to see them grow and mature, becoming authentic and contagious followers of Jesus Christ. This passion for both evangelism and discipleship led them to begin LifeConnexion Ministries in 2016.

Three years ago, quite unexpectedly, Jim and Peggy were invited to serve Christ at Pollock Pines Community Church in Pollock Pines, California. The community is located at an elevation of 4,000 ft. among the pines of the Sierra on Hwy 50 on the way to South Lake Tahoe. Although still living in Folsom, they drive just over 30 miles to Pollock Pines several times a week, which they do not consider a burden. They actually consider it a rich privilege to be serving this amazing congregation as they focus upon evangelizing the community and helping new and long-time believers grow in their faith.

Along with serving as the Lead Pastor at Pollock Pines Community Church, Jim continues to write his weekly blog for LifeConnexion Ministries, and he also serves as the Director of Personnel Development with ERRChina (Educational Resources and Referrals – China) which supports teachers from the United States who are serving as teachers in China.
